Student LIFE Kick-Off - Celebrate Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month
Student LIFE is happy to welcome you back to campus this fall with our annual Student LIFE Kick-Off event! Start the quarter off right and learn more about Student LIFE and Athletics. This will also be the grand opening of EvCC’s brand new amphitheater on Index Lawn. Enjoy live music from Latino Twist, in celebration of Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month sponsored by EvCC’s Latinx Student Union (LSU)!
From September 15 through October 15 is Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month! This month serves to celebrate and acknowledge the history, culture, and contributions of Americans whose ancestry can be traced to over 20 countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
In honor of Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month we will have live music from Latino Twist, a Latin band who will begin the celebration during the EvCC Student LIFE Kick-Off event playing music ranging from Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue to Pop American Music. This eight piece band is made up of different nationalities including Mexico, the United States, Venezuela and among others that will bring a Latin Twist to the music of Latino America. Join us and come celebrate, you will not want to miss it!

Need a convenient place to get your Flu and/or Covid Vaccine? Stop by our Sign-Up table for the Bartell Drugs Flu and Covid Vaccination Clinic. You are encouraged to sign-up in advance with the Bartell Drugs Vaccine scheduler, however, drop-in appointments are available. Please go to https://www.bartelldrugs.com/pharmacy/clinical-experience. Organization Code: haervo to sign-up for your appointment. Insurance and Consent forms as applicable, will be included in the sign-up link.
