IT Degrees and Certificates
Preparing students for in-demand jobs, EvCC’s Information Technology program offers degrees and certificates in computer support, systems and network administration, cyber security, and cloud-based software and services.
Degrees
Information Technology ATA Degree
The Information Technology Associate in Technical Arts degree is a two-year program designed to prepare students for multiple aspects of the IT job market. The varied subject matter allows students to gain configuration and management experience for the most common technologies covering operating systems, hardware, networking and security. This degree is ideal for students seeking to enter the job market with a diverse set of skills in demand by regional employers.
Information Technology AAS-T Degree
The Information Technology AAS-T degree is a two-year degree with a direct transfer option into Central Washington's ITAM (Information Technology and Administration Management) bachelor's degree program. Students will take a core subset of IT and technology related courses along with general education courses for a minimum of 90 credits, maximum of 105 credits transferable to CWU. CWU also provides a concurrent enrollment option for IT students who have not yet completed 60 credits at EvCC.
Certificates
Computer Support Specialist Certificate
Can be achieved in two or three quarters and provides students with the fundamentals of Python, operating systems, networking, security, computer hardware and troubleshooting. Completing this certificate results in two industry certifications and prepares students for entry-level help desk positions.
Systems Administrator Certificate
Requires completion of the Computer Support Specialist Certificate and additionally provides advanced courses in Windows server, Linux, network applications. Completing this certificate results in two industry certifications with an option for a third.
Network Administrator Certificate
Provides three courses in Cisco Certified Networking Associate: Routing and Switching series. Completing this certificate results in a high value CISCO networking credential preferred by employers for network administrators.
Cybersecurity Analyst Certificate
Requires completion of multiple core prerequisite courses prior to taking 200-level courses. This certificate provides students with additional security skills.
